Read Institute of Texas

A Montessori school rebrand rooted in clarity, care, and community

I partnered with Read Institute of Texas, an Islamic Montessori school based in Dallas, to lead a full brand and digital refresh. The goal was to modernize their visual identity and website while staying true to their educational philosophy and community values. I designed a new logo system, simplified their website UX, and built out visual templates and social content to help them communicate clearly with both new and existing families.

Problem

How might we refresh the school’s brand and website to reflect its mission while improving communication with parents?

Outcome

Delivered a new logo and brand system, redesigned and developed their website, and created visual content for social, print, and internal communication; strengthening clarity, trust, and engagement across all touch points.

Final Work & Systems

Over 6 months, we led a full creative refresh for Read Institute of Texas—a private Montessori school in Dallas. The work included redesigning their visual identity, launching a modern, mobile-friendly website, and producing branded assets to support parent communication and community outreach. Every decision was guided by clarity, warmth, and the values that ground the school’s approach to education.

Refreshed Logo & Visual Identity

We designed a new logo system inspired by Montessori principles and Islamic geometry, paired with a versatile brand palette and typography system. The identity feels educational, structured, and welcoming—just like the school itself.

Website Redesign & Development

Built a clean, responsive website focused on what matters to parents: curriculum, tuition, schedules, and how to enroll. The UX is simplified for clarity, and optimized for both desktop and mobile use.

Parent-Focused Content Strategy

We structured key pages around common questions and needs—from how Islamic Montessori works to what a day at RIT looks like—helping parents make informed decisions quickly.

Social Media Templates

Created flexible post and story templates in Canva to help staff share school updates, events, and reminders with ease—keeping visuals consistent across platforms.

Understanding our audience

To shape a brand and website that truly served parents, we reviewed Montessori education trends, competitor school websites, and parent communication pain points. We also gathered informal feedback from current parents and staff to ground the work in lived experience.

85%

of Islamic school websites lacked clear curriculum and tuition info

Many participants said they didn't know this type of

content existed. One person said, "It's not interesting

unless it's in person. I can look at pictures and read

anywhere. It's just static information."

70%

Of parents rely on mobile devices to view school information

We prioritized responsive, mobile-first design and simplified navigation so that busy parents could access key info on the go.

Crafting the Brand System

To support the rebrand, I created a full brand kit for Read Institute of Texas. The kit includes a refreshed logo, updated colors, type system, and brand voice, designed to reflect both Montessori values and the school’s spiritual ethos.

Refining the

school’s visual mark

To reflect the school’s identity with warmth, structure, and intention, I created a new logo system rooted in Montessori principles and geometric balance. The system includes a primary logo, and simplified mark.
