Labsy
A platform for creators to launch and sell premium custom apparel, no inventory needed
Labsy is a creator-first platform that lets artists, brands, and businesses design and sell high-quality merch without upfront costs. I worked from the ground up to build the product, and design an experience that feels intuitive, elevated, and creator-friendly. From onboarding flows to custom storefronts, the interface empowers users to focus on creativity while we handle the logistics.
Problem
How might we make custom merch accessible, high-quality, and easy for creators to launch without barriers?
Outcome
Led end-to-end design for the platform: product strategy, UX/UI, creator dashboards, drop pages, and brand identity. Helped bring the idea to market as a premium, no-inventory merch solution.

Bringing Labsy to Life
Over several months, I designed Labsy as a creator-first merch platform that makes it easy to launch high-quality, print-on-demand apparel with no upfront cost. The product supports a full end-to-end experience, letting users upload designs, manage drops, customize storefronts, and track orders in one place. The interface balances usability with flexibility, giving creators control without complexity.

Drop Creation
Flow
Designers can upload artwork, choose garments, select colorways, and generate previews in just a few steps. The flow is optimized for clarity and control, perfect for creators launching their first drop or managing multiple campaigns.
Live Storefront Customization
Each user gets a personal store with editable banners, bios, and layout options. The interface allows for drag-and-drop product arrangement and instant preview, helping every creator shape their visual presence.

Product Preview & Variant Logic
The system dynamically generates product previews with the user’s artwork and chosen garment colors. This helped reduce uncertainty and gave users confidence before publishing.
Real-Time Earnings & Orders Dashboard
Creators can view real-time order data, fulfillment status, and total earnings from their dashboard. I designed a simple analytics view that lets users track success without needing external tools.

What Creators Told Us
To understand creators' pain points, I reviewed Reddit threads, YouTube workflows, and creator tool reviews. The research showed a strong need for flexibility, control, and simplicity.
78%
Creators say merch platforms feel too complex
Users frequently described existing platforms as “clunky,” “outdated,” and “too corporate.” Long onboarding forms, hidden fees, and poor UI made them feel boxed in before even launching.
64%
Want better branding control for their stores
Many creators said their storefronts didn’t feel like them. Customization options were limited, and brand consistency across products was hard to maintain. Users wanted their shops to reflect their voice, values, and visual identity.
59%
Avoid merch due to logistics and upfront cost
Inventory, fulfillment, and shipping were seen as blockers. The idea of ordering in bulk or managing returns felt overwhelming. Creators expressed a strong preference for platforms that offered print-on-demand, low risk, and full production support.
Built with questionable playlists, and way too much ctrl+z.
